Vanessa travels to you for all your make up

sessions and suggests you book your

rehearsal approximately 8 weeks before your

wedding day.

Vanessa would suggest that you have your

rehearsal on a day when you can make the

most of it. Mid morning is a good time, you will

have plenty of light and you get to keep your

make up on all day and evening too, so you

can give it a good try out.

At your rehearsal Vanessa will take

photographs and make detailed notes of your

make up so she knows exactly what she needs

to do when you meet again on your wedding

day.

On your wedding day Vanessa will travel to

you at your home or wedding venue at a pre-

arranged time that fits into your schedule, you

need to accommodate your hair stylist,

photographer, dressing and make up into your

morning. Having an experienced artist means I

can also help with your planning as I have

done this so many times before.

Vanessa is a make up artist first and

foremost and whilst she styles hair for

photo shoots she does not do bridal hair.

Why you ask? The morning of your

wedding is a hectic one, you need to know

that the person you have doing your make

up is focused on the job in hand, not flitting

from one job to another. Besides if you

have a large wedding party one person will

not be able to complete everyone so you

will have to employ another person. Far

better to have two experts, one in hair and

one in make up, don't you think?

Vanessa's vast experience with weddings

enables her to choose the correct products

for your skin type. However application is

everything, applying make up using the

correct tools is vital. You may need to carry

a lip gloss for touch ups or powder papers

for hot summer weddings other than that

Vanessa is proud of her reputation for long

lasting yet natural make up.

Having been involved in the make up

industry for many years including the

manufacture of cosmetics Vanessa has

learned not to be a make up snob.

Vanessa does not believe that one brand

can make every product brilliantly.

Therefore she carries a wide range of

products that she knows works. If it

doesn't work it doesn't go in her make up

kit.

Products include; Max Factor, Mac,

Bourjois, Revlon, Bobbi Brown, Stilla to

name a few.

Vanessa needs to hear your ideas and

pictures are a great way of conveying

these. However no two faces are the

same and colourings can differ greatly

from person to person. Vanessa will work

towards your ideas taking into account

your individual face shape and skin tone.

Also you must remember that almost all

magazine images are digitally enhanced

these days.

Far from it, good make up for weddings is

all about enhancement and definition. Yes

your make up will look different for the

way you normally do it but Vanessa will

ensure that you are comfortable with your

look, leaving you feeling confident and

gorgeous.

Bridal make up is all about good balance

for photographs be they black and white

or colour and greeting your guests, good

bridal make up will carry you from daytime

to evening without you having to do a

thing.

This really depends on the time of your

service and what time you need to be ready

for your photographer. On average

Vanessa does around five make ups per

booking, however if it is a bride only

wedding you wont need to start so early. All

these details can be discussed at your

make up rehearsal or prior to booking if you

contact Vanessa.

It is entirely up to the individual to decide, I

sometimes even do brides without a trial.

Vanessa is happy to do make up with out

a rehearsal if you are.

Most definitely, Vanessa is a freelance

artist and will not pass work onto anyone

else. The exception to this is if Vanessa

was too ill to attend, in this instance she

would find a replacement artist and brief

her on your make up, providing her with

the photographs and notes from your

rehearsal. This has not happened in 20

years on any job be it bridal or photo

shoot.

A deposit is required to hold the date for

your wedding. All balances can be paid on

the day of your wedding or before if you

prefer to.

Your make up rehearsal is payable on the

day of the rehearsal.

All payments can be made by cheque or

cash.

Please note Vanessa cannot hold a date

without a deposit. Your deposit is non

refundable.

No Vanessa will only take on one wedding

per day. No one needs an artist who is clock

watching to leave for another job. Vanessa

is all yours until you leave for your service.
